Dad sent me a present from Japan. He said he would send something for Nancy as well. He sent us both Kimono! I thought that they were called kimonos in plural, but Dad said that it is still Kimono. And we have special ones called Furisode. It is a special kimono for unmarried girls. Kimono are made from one bolt of cloth and are a robe with a sash called an obi. It feels kind of funny, but only because we are not used to it. They are comfortable, though. And so beautiful! There is even a pouch in the sleeve that I can put small items in. I don't need a purse!!! Dad said to make sure we tie the obi in the back and not in the front. I love the pink and doesn't Nancy look lovely in the red?

DAD SENT A PRESENT FROM JAPAN!!!
