An Olympic Surprise!

My dad sent a package!!!  He is in London now and is seeing a bit of the Olympics.  He sent a nice surprise to me and I enclosed a picture of Nancy and myself wearing the presents.  I wish we could be in England as well, but wearing shirts that came from Great Britain is almost as good....who am I kidding?  I would still love to be in England and see the Olympics.  Dad is going to Skype me tomorrow about it.

Got a THEME!!!

OMG, Nancy and I were talking and we said we both liked Steampunk!!  OMG, what an idea for a theme for the bedroom.  A room done all in Steampunk!  Brass and wood and Victorian accents!  We are going to look through our attics and try to find used items to decorate my room.

trying to decide a theme

Nancy and I went shopping (did I tell you about my bestest Nancy?).  My grandparents said I could look for new furniture, but that they suggested second hand or possibly reusing furniture that we had at home.  I wanted to look at new furniture to give me some ideas.

We found this funky chest of drawers that has a safari feel to it.  What do you think about this and a complete African theme with fake fur and maybe a drum nightstand?  Or it could even be maybe a rock theme?

Or this....an Asian theme with very minimalistic furnishings?

Or this one?  I could do a complete Parisian theme with an Eiffel Tower painted on a wall and maybe even a mural of fancy shops and an outdoor cafe?

What do you think?  Give me ideas!!!!  How would you like to redecorate your room?

I am getting my room redecorated

Oh, my gosh.  Grandpa and Grandma said I could redecorate my room.  I am not sure what I am going to do!  We have the old wallpaper off and the primer put on, but I am not sure what I am going to do.  What do you suggest?  Pink?  Purple?  Black with glitter?  Flowers?  Guitars?  Maybe a Parisian theme?  Give me some clues on what to do.  Thankfully, my friend Nancy is going to help.  We are going shopping.

Who would like a shout out?  Give me a click and I will shout out the next time I post.  Maybe by then, I will have replaced the old princess castle bed that had belonged to my older cousin.  I have so outgrown that.  Well, maybe not being a princess.

Dad sent me something from Vietnam!

Look what came in the mail today!!  Dad was in VietNam on his tour and sent me some wonderful paper dolls.  They might be a form of a puppet as they are flat and on a stick.  Tell me what you think of them!  I couldn't get the picture to turn around.  I think they are gorgeous.  Dad knows that I love dolls and he tries to send me some when he finds them.  He says that when you go somewhere, you should look to see everything that there is to see as you may never be there again.  And if you are, it won’t be exactly the same is it was today.  Cool philosophy.

Lost in the mail

The outfit my father was sending from Myanmar never arrived.  I am so disappointed.  I love to see what people in other countries wear and I love trying on other clothes.

A new dress is on it's way!!!

My mother called last night and said she has sent me a dress from the country she is working in right now.  She has said it is a surprise and won't say where she is or what it looks like.  As soon as I get it, I will have my grandmother take a picture of me in it and show it to everyone.

One of my friends is going to spend the night this weekend.  We will blog together and have photos!

Daddy is in Myanmar

My daddy just sent me an email where he is touring Myanmar I will try to find out more about it so I can tell you all about it.  He did send this picture that looks like it is a magical place.  The buildings seem to be floating in the trees.   I hope maybe he will take me the next time he goes
